DJ's 3D Ultrasound

We went in on Saturday to have a 3D ultrasound. It was great for Alyssa and I, and everyone else was bored stiff. It really isn't that much easier to see the baby's face in a 3D compared to a 2D, the camera still has all the angle issues, which causes a lot of distortion. Anyways, we think he looks a lot like Drew did when he was first born. Here's one of the best pics of him:

Those are his toes right next to his mouth. The shadow to his right of his mouth is the umbilical cord. The technician told us that babies will suck on anything that gets close to their mouths in vitro, and so he was kind of alternating between the cord and his toes. : )

See you soon, DJ!! :)

Drew lost a tooth!

Well, here are some pictures of the big event! He was eating corn on the cob tonight, and then said, "Hey! I think I broke my tooth!" Phil just told him to stop being a whiner, but I had a suspicion that it might be a loose tooth, and it was! He worked on it all this evening, and it finally popped out. So, he gets to see if that pesky tooth fairy is any more reliable for him than she was for the girls..... : )

Finally, two years later: A PLAYGROUND!

Well, we finally got the playground finished! The playset has been sitting in our garage for over a year and a half! It took so long because we had to build a retaining wall, fill it with lots of dirt, etc., so we needed to save up!
The kids can walk out our back door, across stepping stones in the lawn, to a slide that goes down into the play area. There are also stone steps with a gate as an alternate way to get down to the playground. Eventually we will put a play house to the left of the playset.

Our New Upstairs!!

We got the floors upstairs redone after Drew's fiasco with the bathroom sink. (If you haven't heard this story, it involved lots of water). This floor is so cool! It looks like hardwood, but it's really linoleum. Really easy to take care of, and looks great. Anyways, I've been promising the girls that I would help them redo their room and paint it after the carpet was done, so we decided to paint all the rooms while we were at it. Here are the final results: :)

The girls room (this is the left wall when you walk into their room). There are letters on the bookcase that spell out DREAM. Can you see the birdhouses and butterflies hanging from the ceiling? : )

Here's the wall I painted the tree on. This was a special request from the girls.

Their bunk bed. Beside each one's bed is their name and their silhouette.

Here's the wall opposite their bed. It's hard to see in the pic, but there is a "flock" (?) of white butterflies going up the wall behind the dresser. Those butterflies were so cool and easy to put up. $20 from Target for 20 butterflies!! : )

Here's their messy dresser - still my favorite antique purchase ever! $100!! This thing must weigh 1500 pounds!! : ) (there are two more drawers not even in the pic)

I haven't finished Drew's room yet, but here's what it looks like so far. He's very proud of his "green room".

And here is the yellow for the playroom. I LOVE this yellow - it is called "Applesauce" by Behr.

And of course, Alyssa has to have a place for all her American Girl stuff. Because we all know that Kit has to have HER own room, right? Sigh... This is out on the landing outside the girls' room.

I think I know what the groundhog's gonna say... : )

Okay, so just a couple days ago, we were seeing this:
and this:
So of course, my natural reaction is, "Well, okay, not a GREAT winter, but at least we got a couple small snows. I guess it's spring time. That's what robins are for, right?"

And then, we wake up to this:

AND, it's still going at 2:00 PM this afternoon! Of course, Bo and Jack have had a great time! : )
It has really been falling - the accumulation is amazing! We probably have a good 6 inches by now. Here are some pictures of how much, and then following are all the pictures of the kiddos playing in the irresistible white stuff.

Look at the difference in the tree below in the picture taken this morning,

and then this afternoon: (!)

OK, here are kiddo pics:

And I'll leave you with these. Aren't they beautiful? Our love to all.

A day at the Stock Show

So, the Stock Show is HUGE in Fort Worth - basically everyone goes at some point over the two weeks or so that it is going on. We went today with "Grandma Judy" and "Grandpa Russell" Rosehill. The kids had a great time.
This baby goat Alyssa's petting was only 1 day old!

The kids actually enjoyed this part the most - running around the empty seats in one of the Rodeo's several arenas.

Break time - time for sharing a cinnamon roll. Thanks, Grandpa Russell!

So many owners saw the kids looking at the animals and said, "You want to come pet them?"! It was so sweet. The kids really enjoyed it.

Our little animal lover with the feather collection that her mean mommy made her leave behind at the petting zoo. Mothers always ruin the fun, don't they?!
